CAT 2023 Exam Live: IIM CAT slot 1 ends; question paper analysis, difficulty level, answer key soon





NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow is conducting CAT 2023 in three different shifts. CAT 2023 slot 1 has ended at 10:30 am. More than 3.3 lakh students are expected to give CAT exam today in 400 test centres across 155 cities in the country. No changes in the CAT 2023 question paper have been announced by IIM Lucknow. CAT 2023 question paper reportedly will have 66 questions (MCQs and non-MCQs). CAT exam questions will be from topics on Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Aptitude (QA). CAT 2023 Live Updates: Key points

  • Duration of CAT exam is 2 hours. Candidates will be given 40 minutes for each section in CAT 2023 exam.
  • PwD candidates will get 53 minutes 20 seconds to solve each section.
  • Total marks for CAT exam are 198. Candidates will get 3 marks for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer in CAT 2023. There is no negative marking for CAT non-MCQ questions.
  • Candidates need to carry a colored/black-and-white printed copy of CAT admit card to the exam centre.
  • Permissible identity proof to carry along with CAT 2023 admit card includes Aadhar card, Electoral ID, Driving License, PAN card, Passport, or any government-issued document.

CAT 2023 has seen a record 30% increase with more than 3.3 lakh registrations. CAT scores are used for PGDM and MBA admissions at the IIMs, IITs, leading BSchools in the country. Answer key of CAT 2023 is expected within three to four days after the CAT exam concludes.
